Linda Beeman is one of seven panelists speaking to the Grant Professionals Association, Southeast Texas Chapter (GPA-SETC) on Thursday, March 19 at the United Way, Greater Houston. The meeting will take place at 11:30 a.m. and includes a brown bag lunch (order in advance). Other panelists who will be speaking are: Chuck Lutke, Rebuilding Together Houston; Melissa Simon, Boys and Girls Country; Jan Mitchell Johnson, Grantsformation; Kristen Schlatre, CPNL at Rice U; Jonita Fair-Payton, Independent Consultant; and Nicole Conda, NMC Consulting.

The panelists will speak about their own career strategies and the choices they have made – good and bad – that helped them reach their current level of success. Each one will offer key pieces of advice to others in the field who are considering a career change, whether it be independent consulting or working in the development department of a larger nonprofit.

  1. I enjoyed your forthright answers (even the downbeat ones) to the panel discussion today. Listening to the breadth, depth and scope of knowledge you bring to the table regarding grants and development was truly impressive.

Thank you for your kind words, Alan! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it. It was a great panel and I think we all learned a lot from one another.
