Too often, nonprofits waste precious resources applying for grants they have no chance of receiving when, if the right research had been done in advance, they might have been successful. Moreover, lack of research and proper planning reflects poorly on the nonprofit, reducing its chances of reapplying and receiving funding in the future. In Part 1 of a two-part series, Linda will lead a discussion on the first steps a nonprofit should take to prepare itself for grant-seeking to ensure that it is, in fact, “grant ready”. Attendees will participate in actual funder research and determine who to involve when writing a grant proposal. This event is being held in-person as well as virtually. In-person seating is limited and registrations are first come, first served. Registration is required to attend.
ONE Clear Lake is an exclusive event for Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce nonprofit staff members. If you are a nonprofit organization and want more information, please call the Chamber at 281-488-7676.
